I have always been vocal about not trading Bacolod City with any other provinces in the Philippines. My province has always been a livable city, less pollutive and offers a laid back kind of life. It has been saved from a lot of calamities from typhoon to earthquakes. Sure, we had shares of misfortunes that were not as significant as compared to what other places had experienced. Thus, Negresenses should be thankful for we are blessed. Since we are fortunate, it's best that we pay it forward. We should give Negros a kind of care sufficient enough to compensate for kind of life it has to offer.
The latest happenings tell us a lot of things. These things are not new but they are often times taken for granted. It tells a lot of our discipline as people. We are now facing the ill effects of the absence of discipline and the lack of concern toward our environment . It's not nature releasing wrath on us but it is the nature's response to a human stimuli. Our trashing goes out of hand and so is the flood. No one is accountable for all these but us, no need of fingers pointing to whom.
The aftermath of the events will again leave us a LOUD lesson. No more rooms for deaf ears.
A love so unconditional, patience beyond elastic limit, all-out support with no condition -all I give to you since you are a gift from HIM.

BIGGER LOVE
This image of my father with his granddaughters is particularly sweet. My pop has been a sweet granny to his two little darlings. These two girls are blessed to have such a sweet, emotional and a loving grandfather in their lives. At their young age, they reciprocate the big love given to them by their LOLO.
Thank you Papa for loving Christa and Denise like the way you love us your children or perhaps even better.

INTANGIBLE REASONS FOR HAPPINESS
August 8,2012
Today and days that passed have been great. I feel so grateful for the not-feeling-well episodes were not as frequent anymore. Sadly, I am beginning to revert again to having a big appetite. I need to have discipline again- a great struggle on my end but I need to do for my goodness sake.
My good friend Albert is back in his hometown- another reason to be happy. He gave us a surprise visit that blew our minds off. We missed him terribly and it was really good to see him in flesh once again.
As he was telling his novelas, I stared at him in disbelief. I was aware of his homecoming but the visit was a surprise. You see, Albert is like a brother to me. We did have misunderstanding in the past but this was soon resolved. The experience brought us even closer to one another.
There was a point in his life that he needed professional growth and this need brought distance to our friendship. Yet, we remain friends. Until finally, he had to leave for Libya.
What happened to Albert as he worked away from home is a story so long to share but is filled with so much awe and inspiration to the part of the listener. His experience made me admire him more. I salute him for having such courage to face the unknown just so to reach his dreams.
Let me end this by saying that good friends is not affected by any distance...the heart that beats for a friend will always beat that way no matter what.

A FERVENT PRAYER
May 3, 2012
The day went just as expected. As usual, I did not feel well again at one point. There was this spaced out, not being here feeling struck me once again. I fought it by having good conversations with good friends. I shrugged off its effects on me by making myself busy. My defense mechanism made a slight help in my dilemma.
I turned to the net for diversion. When I opened my FB account, I read a post concerning a mom's prayer. It moved me as the prayer beautifully put all the words that we moms are meaning to say.
The moment a woman bore a child, she strips herself with self-satisfaction and begins to prioritize her child's needs. She starts and ends the day with prayers, asking for intangible life's essentials.
Motherhood made me a better person of lengthy patience, with full of love.. As an added bonus- it made me a better teacher. It is a must for me that before I leave the house, I would kiss my daughter and seal her forehead with Jesus' blood and protection. And she dozes herself to sleep, I thank the Lord for the day and continue to protect her as she sleeps. I pray for her healing, good health and life.
I'll end this post with a simple prayer.
Lord, I pray that I may live long enough for me to see my girl grow independent and could stand on her own. When I see her achieve the so called stability in life, I'll be the happiest. Lastly, for the words I fail to speak, read my heart Lord. As the day comes that I see my job is done, I'll be happy that you will take me home. Amen.

I'M AT IT AGAIN
April 2, 2012
I rushed home. Again. Needless to say, I was in one again. Hunger, stress, fatigue- knocked me off.
Despite this annoying state, I am grateful for I've been flanked with great friends. Divine, Roxy, Apple and Albert are my best friends. Good heart, helpful, fun loving, smart and the list goes on if I have to brag about them.
I met up with Papa so we could go home together. He had some errand to do and while waiting for him to finish, I sat at one burger chain for rest and to fill my stomach. It was past lunch time and the breakfast meal I had in the morning was just not sufficient.
It was really nice to be home and be hugged by my baby. So overwhelming, temporarily lifting all my worries away. It is amazing how powerful her hug is albeit her little arms. I love you Christa and I will never tire from saying this to you.

HEALTH TOPS THE LIST
At my age, I see the importance of what others would say about health being one's wealth. Since the time I was diagnosed with a fatty liver, I did a major shift in my diet. Cold Turkey. I felt I did not miss out on my sinful food indulgences as I value my daughter's life more than my palate's cravings. The diagnosis made me both food conscious and prompt me to read more on health issues.
The shift did not provide a 100 percent relief. Although I see the tremendous effects on my weight and on my skin, there will be times that I feel not well. Two months of being a vegetarian, I felt weak, experienced heart palpitations and shortness of breathe. I had to be hospitalized. Cutting out ALL the fats in my diet resulted to imbalances in my body. Soon I was diagnosed with an impaired glucose, high sugar and prehypertension.
Up until now, I still have episodes of not feeling well. The prescribed pills offered temporary relief. With the awareness of how harmful taking these pills are, I decided to research on natural remedies. So I was back to my googling. Once again, I revived my interest on apple cider vinegar.
The chest flutters I experienced are not addressed by the pills I take but out of desperation, I took a tablespoon of this vinegar and diluted it in a glass of water. Lo and behold, in few minutes I was relieved.
I could not help but recall what my mother used to tell me. It is me who should feel what good is for me when it comes to not feeling well. Not all is addressed by the doctors and that there is no better doctor that the giver of life. So true.
